National Department of Tourism transfers the Administration of the Tourism Grading Support Programme to the TGCSA

The National Department of Tourism and the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA) have entered into an agreement to transfer administration of the Tourism Grading Support Programme from the Department to TGCSA. The programme’s main objective was to reduce the cost burden on small and medium-sized accommodation and MESE establishments by offering rebates on final grading assessment fees.

This rebate system has been replaced by an upfront discount of 80% (and an additional 10% for TOMSA Levy contributors) for properties that wish to be graded by the TGCSA; this project has been integrated into the existing online grading application process of the TGCSA.

Establishments are  sent an email with unique login credentials prior to their expiry date for them to login and complete the process.

It is important to submit the correct and complete information to ensure that the discount is processed timeously as the discount cannot be applied after the deadline specified has lapsed.

How the process works:
Establishments are  sent an email with unique login credentials prior to their expiry date for them to login and complete the process.

It is important to submit the correct and complete information to ensure that the discount is processed timeously as the discount cannot be applied after the deadline specified has lapsed.

PLEASE NOTE:
The above process only applies to establishments which have not yet applied for the funding
