The Star Guide 2012 is open for bookings!
The Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA) has opened bookings for the 9th edition of The Star Guide, South Africa’s only official accommodation guide endorsed by SA Tourism and the Department of Tourism. We’re making subtle improvements to maintain our position as the most elegant and well-designed accommodation directory in the industry, with by far the best and most far-reaching distribution channels.
Our digital eGuides continue to receive high downloads, and come at no extra cost to you. We are planning iPad and iPhone app launches with the coming edition.

As a graded establishment, the invitation to advertise is extended to you. We have listened to properties facing challenging times with the recession in major overseas markets. The gurus say that in tough times, advertising becomes even more important. That may be good in theory, but we know it is tough in the reality of cash flows.
To assist you with your marketing in these times, we have negotiated the following special Early Bird discount if you sign up early:
- 7.5% discount for bookings received during Oct 2011
Payment will only be due by 30 November 2011
Rates start at R1 500 (plus VAT) to make participation affordable for everyone. Remember, it's worth the small investment for the exposure to markets no-one else can reach. And a larger ad will have more impact – especially for higher star-graded properties wanting to make a bigger impact.
