Why should you use star graded establishments?
Stars are often used as symbols for classification purposes. They are used by reviewers for ranking things such as movies, TV shows, restaurants, and hotels. For example, one to five stars is commonly employed to categorize hotels - Wikipedia
The TGCSA Star Grading system is an independent assessment of what visitors can expect to find at an accommodation establishment or conference facility, based on the overall quality of the venue. It is an internationally recognised, credible, and globally benchmarked system of quality assurance for accommodation and MESE (Meetings, Exhibitions and Special Events) experiences, which can be relied upon by visitors when making their choice of establishment.
But how does it really empower you to make your choice?
- Visitors have an option to choose from hotels, B&B’s, Guest Houses, Country Houses, Caravan & Camping, Lodges, Self Catering units, Backpacking & Hostelling accommodation and MESE venues.
- The minimum requirements for an establishment to attain a star level grading are clearly stipulated per grading category in the grading criteria e.g. guests can expect outstanding standard of facilities, furnishings and meticulous guest care at a 5 star establishment. - Star graded establishments are internationally competitive. They are graded using globally benchmarked grading criteria.
- Graded establishments subscribe to upholding high levels of quality. They are re-graded every 12 months to ensure that the quality on which their star grading level was issued by the TGCSA is maintained.
- Visitors are encouraged to submit their experiences whether negative or positive to the TGCSA. The TGCSA Customer Feedback Management system ensures that positive visitor experience is upheld by graded establishments.
- ONLY TGCSA graded establishments can use the star insignia and grading plaque for marketing purposes. Visitors can use the TGCSA website to verify establishment’s grading validity.
