The Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA), after 8 years in existence, conducted a comprehensive review of its operations, assisted by KPMG and a number of recommendations were made which we have begun to implement in a sure but steady manner, putting us firmly on the international competitiveness stage.
The TGCSA contributes towards a sustainable tourism industry by ensuring that both local and international tourist have a choice of quality assured accommodation establishments. One of the recommendations includes ensuring that you, as the client, find quality assured accommodation in an easy manner which is convenient, functional, well presented and caters to the ever-changing and busy lifestyles.
This website goes a long way in helping us give you that and more! Our new website has been divided into three very clear-cut categories.
The Voice Your Opinion section is the all important feedback section, where we get to hear from you. Sharing your experience with us, helps us ensure standards are not compromised, thus helping us provide a firm and fair management of quality assurance in tourism accommodation establishments.
Under the Graded Establishments section you get to choose from over 8 000 accommodation and conference facilities. Here you can search for a place to stay under eight different categories, all graded from one to five star. The new, dynamic interactive map, we believe, will go a long way to guide you across the length and breath of South Africa.
